Overview
Grace E. Marino is committed to providing thoughtful and practical representation tailored to each client’s needs. Her emerging practice focuses on developing effective litigation strategies from the early stages of a dispute through disposition or resolution. Grace counsels individuals and businesses in risk management, litigation avoidance, and employment practices. She also defends her clients in disputes ranging from commercial disagreements to high exposure injury claims.
Prior to joining Pretzel & Stouffer in 2026, Grace clerked for the Honorable Jerry A. Esrig in the Cook County Law Division where she gained exposure to a variety of cases, whether based upon theories of tort, contract, or otherwise, stemming from commercial relationships. As a clerk with unique, first-hand perspective, Grace gained expertise in procedure and a practical understanding of effective advocacy.
Grace graduated from Auburn University summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Science in exercise science with a designation of University Honors Scholar. Grace earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
During law school, Grace was Membership Editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. Her note, “Staying a Jane Doe Post Dobbs and Roe: The Risks Modern Technology Poses with Archaic Abortion Restrictions,” was published in the 2nd Issue of the 21st Volume, 21 Nw. J. Tech. & Intell. Prop. 245. Grace also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Thomas M. Lynch in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Grace grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, reading, and Auburn football.
