Overview

Max Ruiz is a driven and motivated litigator who is dedicated to securing favorable outcomes for his clients. Max’s emerging practice focuses on business torts, premises liability and products liability. As an associate, Max’s primary responsibilities include conducting legal research, attending depositions, and drafting dispositive motions.  

Prior to joining the firm, Max’s practice focused on defending employers and carriers in claims brought under the United States Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act and its extension, the Defense Base Act.

Max earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, where he was a member of the school’s Moot Court team. Max represented his school in the Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition which provided him valuable experience in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy that carries into his practice as a litigator.

As a Chicago native, Max has remained closely connected to the city and Chicagoland community.  In his free time, Max is an avid sports fan, enjoys trying new restaurants, and scuba diving.
