Margaret M. Melaniphy

Margaret focuses her practice primarily in the areas of medical negligence defense, personal injury defense, and other general tort matters.

Margaret has experience in a wide range of civil litigation. Before joining the firm, Margaret worked as a law clerk for a personal injury law firm that represented clients throughout Chicagoland. Additionally, she was a judicial extern in the Cook County Circuit Court helping manage complex suits involving product liability and toxic tort allegations.

Margaret earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at John Marshall. While there, she served as the President of the Celtic Law Association. Additionally, she spent a semester as a student attorney at the UIC John Marshall Veteran’s Legal Clinic providing legal assistance to veterans in need of advice and advocacy. 

A Chicago northwest side native, Margaret attended the University of Iowa and earned her undergraduate degree in communications and journalism. She studied abroad at the National University of Ireland, Galway. In her spare time, Margaret loves doing yoga and cheering on the Hawkeyes.
