Trial Victory: Directed Verdict, Plus Costs Obtained on Behalf of Architect in McHenry County

Quinn P. Donnelly achieved a directed verdict plus the award of costs in a matter filed in McHenry County against an architect. The plaintiff claimed that the architect had breached his contract by refusing to submit the plans for approval to the city preventing the plaintiff from proceeding with a residential renovation project and resulting in lost profits and other damages. Mr. Donnelly, through the presentation of significant documentary evidence and the thorough cross-examination of the plaintiff, demonstrated to the Court that a directed verdict was necessary. The Court agreed and entered a directed verdict on behalf of the architect and ordered the plaintiff to pay the costs related to the defense of the suit.
