Summary Judgment Awarded to Workers’ Compensation Attorney in Legal Malpractice Case

Jim SipchenMatt Tibble recently won summary judgment in favor of a lawyer who was alleged to have been vicariously liable for the conduct of another attorney with whom he shared office space and who was alleged to have improperly handled a workers’ compensation case. The case involved seldom litigated issues concerning actual and apparent agency and vicarious liability of attorneys for legal malpractice outside of typical law firm/employment setting.
