Pretzel & Stouffer Attorneys Publish Article on Sole Proximate Cause

Pretzel & Stouffer attorneys, Donald Eckler and Paula Villela, published an article in the Illinois Association of Defense Counsel Quarterly (IDC) analyzing the decision in Douglas v. Arlington Park Racecourse, LLC, 2018 IL App (1st) 162962 in which the court held that instructing the jury on sole proximate cause was appropriate where the defendant presented evidence that two different non-parties were the sole proximate cause of the plaintiff’s injury.
