Matt Egan Reappointed to the Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases by the Illinois Supreme Court.

Pretzel & Stouffer partner, Matthew Egan, has been reappointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to the Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases. The Committee consists of experienced civil trial lawyers and trial judges throughout the state. The Committee is tasked by the Supreme Court to study and recommend new pattern jury instructions and modifications to the existing IPI jury instructions for use in jury trials in all civil cases in Illinois.

Matt has tried numerous cases to successful verdicts in state and federal courts. Matt is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is one of the initial recipients of the Cook County Jury Verdict Reporter’s Trial Lawyer Excellence Award. Matt’s practice is concentrated on the defense of attorneys and other professionals in litigation and disciplinary proceedings and the defense of employers in a wide variety of risk management, claims, and litigation matters.
