Overview

Timothy Weaver is a Shareholder with more than 40 years of experience in catastrophic injury trial work. He brings intensity and passion to his trials and has more than 75 jury verdicts in Illinois and Wisconsin. Tim has written and spoken frequently about professional liability issues and has served as General Editor and chapter author for two editions of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education textbook, Medical Malpractice. He was given the Publication Award by the Wisconsin Defense Counsel in 2014. He was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates as an Advocate and in 2015 earned a Trial Excellence Career Achievement Award by the Illinois/Cook County Jury Verdict Reporter (Law Bulletin Media).

Beyond trial work, Tim is involved in fundraising for the Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. His dear cousin has had MS for many years. He rides his carbon bike more than 150 miles over the annual two-day Tour de Farms event. His fund-raising bike team, the Wheeler Dealers, has consistently ranked number one among all such teams. He is an active member of the Evanston Bicycle Club and participates in its annual fund-raising event, the North Shore Century. He is a volunteer tutor at Holy Trinity High School in Chicago.

Tim’s interests and activities include skiing, road bicycling (3,017 miles in 2018), tennis, history, biography, and mystery novels. He and his wife Catherine have three grown sons.
