Calvin A. Townsend II has an ability to identify issues that clients face, and advise them accordingly to minimize any risk that client may face. As a first-generation attorney, he has taken pride in evaluating a client’s needs, and coming up with cost effective solutions for that client. As a trial lawyer, Calvin vigorously advocates for his clients not only inside of the courtroom, but outside of the courtroom as well.
Calvin’s practice is diverse and includes defending individuals, businesses, and government entities, from commercial litigation related matters, to personal injury lawsuits. Whether it is a simple automobile accident, or a complex business transaction, he defends his client’s interest, with vigor.
Besides his general and professional defense practice, Calvin has extensive experience representing non-profit and religious institutions in commercial and civil litigation matters. While understanding that litigation can affect his client’s ability to carry out its mission, Calvin approaches each case with the understanding that his clients not only depend on his expertise for solving their current problems, but also with the understanding of counseling them on how to avoid any potential litigation in the future.
Calvin and his wife Daniece live in the south suburbs of Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, as well as serving as a volunteer in his church.
