Mr. Weaver is an equity partner at Pretzel & Stouffer with more than 30 years of experience in catastrophic injury trial work. He has more than 60 jury verdicts in Illinois and Wisconsin. Mr. Weaver takes his cases to verdict three to four times each year, bringing intensity and passion to his trials. He has represented a wide variety of medical professionals during his career, including surgeons, obstetricians, emergency physicians, specialists and general practitioners.
Mr. Weaver has written and spoken frequently about professional liability issues, and he served as general editor and chapter author for two editions of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s Medical Malpractice textbook. He received his law degree at the University of Illinois, where he served as notes editor for the Recent Decisions Department of the Illinois Bar Journal and published a U.S. Supreme Court case note. He attended college at Brown University, receiving departmental honors in history and earning a spot on the dean’s list each year.
