Mimi grew up in West Bloomfield, Mich., and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she earned degrees in sociology and political science. During college, Mimi was one of 15 students at the school who received the President’s Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding commitment to cultural and intellectual leadership.
