Miguel is a shareholder at Pretzel & Stouffer, Chartered. Over the years, Miguel’s practice has focused on the representation of health care professionals. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in Cook County and its surrounding counties. Through his work in the field of professional negligence litigation, Miguel has earned a reputation as an aggressive trial attorney who is skilled at evaluating cases. He has recently been asked to assist others resolve cases as both a mediator and an arbitrator. Miguel is fluent in Spanish.
In 2010, Miguel was invited to serve on the board of directors of the Society of Trial Lawyers, an organization that limits its membership to trial attorneys with a proven trial record and that confers membership based on invitation and by the vote of its members. Miguel also serves, by the appointment of Mayor Richard M. Daley, as chairman of Chicago’s Board of Ethics, and he is a member of the local school council for James G. Blaine Elementary School.
