Attorney Bio

Alan defends clients in toxic torts, products liability and complex civil litigation throughout Illinois and Missouri. A large portion of his practice is devoted to the defense of occupational disease and property damage claims, including exposure to dusts; chemicals; products such as asbestos, benzene and silica; and workplace fumes. Over the years, Alan has represented product manufacturers and distributors, contractors and installers, and premises owners. His clients have included businesses and individuals in the oil, gas and chemical industries; boiler manufacturers; janitorial supply and chemical manufacturers; ceramic manufacturers; sheet metal product manufacturers; and soft drink manufacturers and bottlers.

Alan frequently speaks to law school groups and classes on various topics, including legal ethics. He has served as an officer and member of the board of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, an organization of more than 250,000 lawyers and judges throughout the world dedicated to fostering effective, competent and professional legal services. After completing law school, Alan served as a judicial law clerk for two years to Illinois Appellate Justice Richard P. Goldenhersh.
