The estates and trusts practice group focuses on estate planning, business succession planning, and estate and trust administration. This practice group prepares over one hundred customized estate plans annually ranging from basic estate plans to more elaborate plans requiring tax planning to reduce or eradicate gift and estate taxes. Pretzel & Stouffer also handles the customary procedures entailed in the administration of trusts and estates such as the initiation of probate proceedings, preparation of fiduciary tax returns, estate tax returns, and advises in the allocation of assets.
The business practice group of Pretzel & Stouffer serves as general counsel to a wide variety of business and professional service clients. Our clients in this area include sole proprietors, mid-size closely held corporations, rapid growth start up companies, and several large publicly traded corporations. We specialize in areas of the law related to employee benefits, intellectual property, securities, taxation, antitrust, real estate, litigation, and employment law. In addition, Pretzel & Stouffer has vast experience in the representation of hospitals, physician practice groups, and individual physicians. Our services in this capacity include general counsel, representation of physician groups desiring to be affiliated with other practice groups, and the negotiation and development of managed care contracts.
